While I await the replenishment of my creative writing juices, I thought I would pass along an unpublished 20% discount I found on the cheapest rates available for the soon-to-open Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills (henceforth reduced to “Andaz Tokyo”, as Toranomon Hills doesn’t need the extra advertising)
If we try a trial search for one night on August 21st, the lowest rate we can see is the Opening Special rate at 38400 yen.
At the bottom of the MAKE A RESERVATION box on the upper right corner, there is a link labelled SPECIAL RATES (AAA, GOVT, …). Clicking on this link brings up a new box, that allows us to enter a “Corporate or Group Code”. In this box, enter the code 21837 as shown below:
Once you have done this, cilck the CHECK AVAILABILITY button to refresh the rate. When you do this, you will see two rates that show up as “Rate is Confidential”, and the Opening Special rate, which will now have a daily rate value of just 31493 yen.
Clicking on the Show Rate Rules link, we see that the rules do not exclude anyone from utilizing this rate, only that it must be booked on the internet.
Please note that this particular rate is non-refundable/full-prepayment rate, so obviously you are taking a risk to book at this rate, especially for a hotel that hasn’t even opened and for which no reliable information is available. But it’s a good start as to show how the Tokyo Hyatt Fan intends to dig deep to bring you information on the Tokyo Hyatts that you won’t find anywhere else (until they take it from here…but you’ll get it here first!)
